Wetest the 16-inch Lenovo LOQ 16IRH8 gaming laptop with RTX 4060, i7-13620H, and 16:10 QHD display costing around 1,500 Euros (~$1,591).
Lenovois even using the 16:10 ratio on its upcoming Legion gaming laptops. how much smaller the 3:2 is compared to 16:10 or 16:9 if the height would be locked instead of the width.
Theguy I got my Odyssey G9 from has gone back to 32" 16:9, but i believe he is going back to dual or triple monitors. I'm in the same boat. I'm still using a 29" 21:9 2560x1080@75Hz (FreeSync OC) ultrawide. I play a big variety of games, from old to new, from tactical slow paced games to competitive shooters.
219 is amazing for productivity and doubles well at gaming/movies. 16:9 is a little off for me for productivity though. Reply reply More replies. PyroKnight I went from a 16:10 1680 x 1050 vertical monitor to a 16:9 1920 x 1080 one and the difference wasn't too big, although once I swap in one of my 1440p monitors I'd expect a nice boost.

I really like the ultrawide layout for productivity because the 11:9 1760x1440 portion is a perfect side monitor I wish I could find in a separate display.
1610 is the superior aspect ratio, been using it for almost 2 decades and I never had any issue with any game. 16:9 is for movie theaters. The movie industry hijacked the display production and also 16:9 is smaller so more panels could be produced, but it is objectively worse from the distance you look at it.
Sinceprojectors don’t have an exact fixed projection size, you can play around with different aspect ratios. Most projectors support 4:3, 16:9, and 16:10 aspect ratios. Since most media is filmed with a 16:9 aspect ratio, it’s better to stick to that ratio when watching movies and shows on a projector. For gaming on See more
Themain holdouts are gaming laptops, primarily because most games are written for the 16:9 aspect ratio. But even some of those are switching to 16:10, with Lenovo’s newest gaming laptops being
